Strategies for getting the best Fripp Island vacation property experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- The sooner you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Booking your rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Summer is the most expensive season in the Beaufort, SC area. To book the best vacation home for your budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Beaufort, SC attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Booking websites typically offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitor guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Finding the best vacation rental in the Beaufort, SC area:
- Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Luxe on the OCEAN w/ limo cart, firepit, paddle boards, pingpong, bikes, pets ok has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before you book your home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what is suitable for your group.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or costs may be applied to your contract.
- If there's a particular Beaufort, SC attraction you simply love, search for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
More considerations:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the directions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas during check in. E-mail the rental manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property a final time and scan for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on great reviews to compel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
