How to book the best Beaufort vacation property experience:
Sticking to a budget:
- Summertime is the most expensive season in the Beaufort, SC area. To find the best value, try changing your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- In the Beaufort, SC area, The sooner you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Some hosts offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
- Property managers often offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.

You can also find Beaufort, SC area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Planning and picking the perfect Beaufort, SC rental home:
- Select a group lead, choose your dates, and choose a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Gorgeous Waterfront Battery Creek Retreat has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the host before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine which bed configuration is suitable for your group.
- If there's a certain Beaufort, SC beach you are enamored with, search for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or might be applied to your contract.
Advice for a great stay:
- Add the owner's phone number to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Document any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if a dispute arises.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your peace. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would have never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
- Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a great time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
