Strategies for getting the perfect Fripp Island vacation rental experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • In the Beaufort, SC area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Summertime is high season in the Beaufort, SC area. Booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Some property managers offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines contain discounts for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Planning and choosing the perfectrental home:

  • Start by having your group agree to trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Spectacular Ocean Front Bedroom Views - 626 Newhaven has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the property manager before booking the property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a specific Beaufort, SC beach you love, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Upon check-in, note any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your home life. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on great feedback to stimulate future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
