Strategies to get the very best rental home experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Summer is high season in Fripp Island. To get the best value, change your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some owners offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area travel guides that include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Choosing and booking the best Beaufort, SC rental home:

  • Start by having your group choose vacation dates and a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. STEPS TO SAND ~ BEACH SUNSUITE EFFICIENCY ~ CENTER ISLAND has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
  • If there's a specific Beaufort, SC attraction you crave, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property owners charge additional pet fees.

During your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your phone.
  • To make sure that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. Contact the rental manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of problems.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a great time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
