Tips to get the very best vacation property experience:

How to get the best value:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Beaufort, SC area. Booking your vacation home in the Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area travel guides which will include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. STEPS TO SAND ~ BEACH SUNSUITE EFFICIENCY ~ CENTER ISLAND has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before you book the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what is suitable for your vacation.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • Looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

More tips for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of difficulties.
  • Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
  • During check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic resource to find the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a excellent vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
