West End is one of the best locations in Beaufort--You're only 15-20 min. walk to downtown and ~5 min. walk to the Spanish Moss Trail. The neighborhood is peaceful with older cottages and new builds in the area. A great area to ride bicycles and discover the area.
You can fit two cars in the driveway. Please do not park on the stepping stones or in the yard. Uber/Lyft can be tough but there are local taxi companies you can reach out to if needed. A bicycle would be ideal for the area too.

Tricks and tips to get the best vacation property experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Summertime is high season in Beaufort. To find the largest rental within budget, we recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides have coupons for local accommodations and attractions.
Selecting the best vacation rental:
- To start, have your family choose vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Downtown Bungalow by Spanish Moss Trail has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible online. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before booking your home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
- Are you visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
More tips for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would at home.
- During arrival, note any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on good reviews to inspire new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
