Recently modernized 1944 home with appeal and a modern touch. Located near downtown Beaufort and the Spanish Moss trail, it's the ideal spot to relax and/or be active. Parris Island is a fast 10 min. drive which makes this the ideal home for graduation, vacation or work. This is our third short term rental as we appreciate hosting and giving the best experience to our guests. Included is a Hunting Island pass, beach gear and the internet is fast. ALL are welcome in our home! :)

One bedroom has a queen bed while the other has a full and twin bed. The home is very inviting and we hope you make yourself at home.

We are local and can help with any questions.

West End is one of the best locations in Beaufort--You're only 15-20 min. walk to downtown and ~5 min. walk to the Spanish Moss Trail. The neighborhood is peaceful with older cottages and new builds in the area. A great area to ride bicycles and discover the area.

You can fit two cars in the driveway. Please do not park on the stepping stones or in the yard. Uber/Lyft can be tough but there are local taxi companies you can reach out to if needed. A bicycle would be ideal for the area too.
- If there’s an issue or something breaks, just let us know as soon as it happens. We are much more lenient if you do so.
- Keep noise to a minimum after 9 pm. There is a noise ordinance between 9:00 pm and 8:00 am.
- Any type of event must be approved beforehand (typically not an issue, we just like to know). Also, sizable gatherings, such as weddings and get-togethers, are prohibited unless specifically approved by the City.
- No family pets allowed without permission. If there is a pet on premise without permission, you will be charged $300 minimum.
- No smoking inside or you will be charged $300. It’s complimentary to smoke outside.
- Depending on the channel you book through, there may be a $500 pre-authorization hold on the card acting as a security deposit.

How to find the best Beaufort rental home experience:

Getting the most from your rental budget:

  • The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Booking your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Reserve your vacation home in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Owners sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guides have money saving offers on nearby accommodations and attractions.

Narrow your Search:

  • Start by choosing the best vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. The Driftwood Cottage has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before you book the property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish what configuration is right for your trip.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or charges could be applied to your contract.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.

Advice for a smooth stay:

  • Get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Upon arrival, record any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a terrific stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
