How to book the best Beaufort, SC rental experience:
When to go & When to reserve a rental home:
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Beaufort, SC area. Booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is an excellent way to save on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Many property management companies supply Beaufort, SC area travel guides which often include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Selecting the perfect rental home:
- Choose a group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Milagro House -a Designer's Dream has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available online. If not, call the property manager before you reserve your home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If your group is bringing pets, you will need a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
Advice for a fantastic stay:
- Add the owner's information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of difficulties.
- Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect your property!
- At Check-in, record any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on great reviews to inspire more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
