Tips and Tricks to get the optimal Beaufort, SC vacation home experience:

Finding your perfect rental:

  • Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. To get the largest vacation home within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Beaufort, SC attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Many management companies supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to pick the perfect rental home in Port Royal:

  • Start by having your family decide on trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. DeepWater Peaceful Reflections has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC vacation rental search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before you book the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to establish what is suitable for your vacation group.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Additional considerations:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
  • To make certain that damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
  • At departure, take a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on good ratings to compel future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
