Tips and Tricks to get the very best Beaufort, SC vacation home experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • Summer time is high season in Fripp Island. Book your Beaufort, SC vacation in the Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning and choosing a perfectrental home:

  • Begin by selecting potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. CUSTOM HOME 3 BED\/3.5 BATH ON OCEAN PT GOLF COURSE AMENITY CARDS AVAILABLE has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before booking the vacation home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly rental. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

Tips to have a wonderful stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make certain no damages are attributed to your stay, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. Call the property manager immediately to relay your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of problems.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
  • Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a great vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
