How to find the best vacation home experience:
Get the best rental value:
- In the Beaufort, SC area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Beaufort, SC area. To find the best value, try shifting your family's Beaufort, SC vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines have coupons for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. 717 Pompano Road - New to VRBO! Resort Access Included! has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible on booking pages. If not, call the property manager before booking your rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what is suitable for your vacation.
- If your family is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Get information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a particular Beaufort, SC beach you love, browse homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
More tips for your visit:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many difficulties.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
- Upon check-in, note any issues with the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Be respectful. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on good ratings to stimulate new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
