Tips to get the best rental home experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Choose dates and maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. 652 Newhaven Court - Ocean Views and 6 seat golf cart included has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually available on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before booking the property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out which bed configuration is right for your group.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.
  • If there's a particular Beaufort, SC beach you crave, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

During your stay:

  • Add the host's phone number to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • To make sure no damages are linked to your visit, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the property manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers bothering your peace. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave feedback! Property managers rely on good ratings to stimulate future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
