Tips and Tricks to get the best vacation home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • To find the largest rental within budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Beaufort, SC attractions. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to select the best vacation home in Beaufort:

  • Start by selecting trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. YOUR SOCIAL DISTANCING AND INTIMATE GETAWAY! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available online. If not, contact the property owner before you book your rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is best for your group.
  • Is your group looking for unique amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
  • If your group is bringing pets, filter your search for a property that allows animals. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

Know before you go:

  • Add the property manager's contact info to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Upon check-in, note any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few concerns.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • On check-out day, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a great stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
