How to find the best vacation rental experience:

Get the most from your rental home budget:

  • Booking your vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Many property management companies supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guides which often include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Choosing and booking your Beaufort, SC rental home:

  • Select vacation dates and max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. YOUR SOCIAL DISTANCING AND INTIMATE GETAWAY! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible online. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before you book the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or could be applied to your agreement.

Additional considerations:

  • Add the owner's contact information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your visit, note any problem areas during arrival. Contact the host right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of concerns.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • At departure, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a fantastic vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
