- Summer is high season in Beaufort. Book your rental property in Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Some property management companies offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
- Property managers usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guide magazines that include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your peace. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
