How to find the best Fripp Island vacation property experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring months is an excellent way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties.
  • The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Booking your rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Owners sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain coupons for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

How to choose and book the best Beaufort, SC rental:

  • First, have your group select vacation dates and a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. Fripp Island Condo Overlookig the Ocean! has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Is your group looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you must book a pet-friendly property. Get specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your phone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • To make sure damages are not attributed to your stay, note any problem areas when you arrive. text the property manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a great time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
