  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. • Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
  • Note any issues with the property at check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to drive future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation rental.
