About this Property

Look no further!! We are in the center of it all AND you can have it all- beach and canal!! This home is really the most splendid location on the island and accepts straighforward access to all the island's activities! We are a canal front home with a private dock, across the street from the beach, next to the tennis courts, across the street from olympic pool and shopping! We are less than a 100 yards from the beach access which has sand regardless of the tide! (This is an exceptional additional considering some the beach front homes don't have any beach during high tide or have a tremendous hike to actually get to the water) We now have WiFi!! Ideal home! Amenity cards aren't included but we can get them for an additional charge.

Once you visit our home you will want to return! This home has generations of adore and laughter. It has an open floor plan so you can talk to the chef while sitting on the back porch overlooking the marsh! Downstairs you can follow a family tradition and have an oyster roast in the fire pit!

ADVENTURE/ACTIVITIES: If you feel the need to venture further, you can go to two different marvelous golf courses, a marina, five different eateries, multiple pools, and a exercise center!
You can also discover the island on the peaceful roads and comprehensive bicycle trails. There is a lot of wild life to be seen including alligators, pelicans, osprey, dolphins, crabs, and a lot of deer! There are also many great shells to be found on the beach. It is like your own little mini zoo!

If you wish to get intimately involved with wildlife, you can bring home dinner by going crabbing and fishing off our dock. You can also bring your boat and launch it at the marina or another close public launch.

Fripp also offers Camp Fripp, a children's recreation center where the children can discover the island while mom and dad golf, play tennis, or just sit by the pool. There are organized activities for the older children as well.

ISLAND FACTS: Fripp Island is a pristine 3000 acre private, gated island 19 miles outdoor of Beaufort, South Carolina. The island has three and a half miles of elegant beaches. Several movies have been filmed on the island including Forrest Gump, Jungle Rent, and The Prince of Tides. The authors Pat Conroy and Cassandra King chose to call the island home for a brief while.

HOME INFO: This four bedroom, two bathroom home has an outdoor covered porch and an enclosed sunroom. There is a king in one room upstairs and a queen in the other room. Downstairs, one room has a queen and a twin and the other has a queen. The pull out queen is in the sunroom which has a door to shut it off from the rest of the home. ALL OF THE ROOMS HAVE A TV!!! There is a outstanding view of the canal with a private dock. Downstairs there is a screen porch with an enclosed charcoal grille, a ping pong table, and of course a washer and dryer. The kitchen has all of the essentials and then some. The downstairs bathroom has been modernized and refreshed. You will surely want to appreciate it!

The home was originally intended to be a fishing camp. The downstairs was going to be for all my Grandpa's rowdy friends. The upstairs was supposed to be for the more refined visitors! That being said - YOU HAVE TO GO OUTSIDE TO GO FROM THE UPSTAIRS ROOMS TO THE DOWNSTAIRS ROOMS. Some people find this beautiful. Some find it bewildering. I like to hideaway downstairs!

Vacation rentals are frequently owner operated or managed by rental management companies. Property management companies leverage scale, staff and experience to provide hassle-free operational management on behalf of the homeowner..

Here are some tips and tricks to help you navigate the vacation home search and reservation process.

Where to find and reserve a great vacation home:

Do you believe "Canal Front with Private Dock, Across Street from BEACH!" is the best rental for your next trip? Look over this check list to confirm it fits all of your needs.

Beaufort, SC vacation homes start booking very early. To get the best selection, begin your planning and search Six-12 months before your trip. A lot of groups decide to start their search over Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Eve holiday gatherings.

Find your Area and Identify Dates

Begin by picking which particular area of Beaufort, SC you want to browse, and the determine trip dates.

Bedrooms and Bed Sizes Matter

How many relatives are joining your trip? Consider that a lot of rentals list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in the living room. You will need to determine what is most appropriate for your party. Generally rental listings will summarize each one of the unit's specific bedrooms and mattress sizes.

Decide on Your Budget

Make certain "Canal Front with Private Dock, Across Street from BEACH!" satisfies your budget *during your desired week*. Be sure to get cost-sharing commitments from company well before booking an expensive rental property. One individual in your family needs to be in charge of collecting contributions and agreeing to responsibility for the whole rental fee at time of booking.

Its All About Amenities

What amenities is your group trying to find? Do you simply desire a vacation rental with a swimming pool, jacuzzi or volleyball court? Are you more interested in wildlife or amusements? Will the unit have bicycles and beach toys available for use throughout your stay? Create a list of priority features to guide narrow your search.

Special Factors to consider

Elderly guests will thank you for not reserving a stairs-access-only condominium on the 3rd floor. If wheel chair entry, elevators, pool lifts or other specialized equipment is required, include that into your search. Most rental home listings will include a list of amenities.

Go ahead and Take the Dog

Are you or other individuals in the party visiting with a pet dog? Although quite a few vacation rentals permit dogs and cats, guidelines and fees fluctuate per property. Make certain to study descriptions and contracts carefully. Additional fees or costs may be applied to your contract.

Its Time to Search

A number of websites exist to match renters with property owners.. Together with Homeaway, VRBO and Tripadvisor, we advise searching Google for "Beaufort, SC local vacation homes" for local vacation rental management companies. Local agencies will have an exclusive assortment of rental properties daily and weekly.

Negotiate

Re-read the description to confirm the rental home has everything that you need. If lacking, the property management company may know of comparable properties that better suit your wishes and budget..

While not true for all properties, many property owners and property managers will negotiate rates. If they are hesitant to budge on a peak-season week, try asking for an additional night. Negotiating rates is more effective during the off-season when many rental homes sit vacant.

  • Should there be any ambiguity about parking, policies of the property, property access, swimming pool functions, etc... we advise you ask the rental manager promptly. A quick phone call helps prevent many problems.
  • Please be respectful of the neighborhood. . Remember the golden rule and treat others the same way you'd like to be treated by visitors next to your primary residence.
  • Ask a local. Locals may point you in the right direction.
  • Make sure to protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the property secured while you are away, just like you would in your own home.

  • Make sure to walk through the rental home one last time and look for damage. We suggest walking through with the rental manager whenever feasible (often this isn't possible).. If the property manager is not available, make certain to take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • How was your getaway? Many rental management companies and rental search sites make it easy for travellers to offer comments.
