We've refreshed our mid-century church into a roomy and comfortable vacation rental. The Chapel on Waight exemplifies all that we appreciate about Beaufort –laid back yet luxe, close to everything but still peaceful, and central: the Chapel is a few blocks from the Beaufort River on a tree-lined street in a peaceful residential neighborhood. Tricks and tips to get the perfect vacation home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Booking your Beaufort, SC vacation home in the Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guides have deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Filter your rental search:

  • First and foremost, have your group select a vacation week and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Historic Beaufort- downtown beautifully renovated chapel -pet friendly!\n has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking pages. If not, call the property management company before booking the home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or charges applied to your agreement.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .

Tips for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • To make sure damages are not attributed to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. Call the rental manager immediately to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good ratings to inspire future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
