Tips for getting the best Beaufort, SC rental experience:

Getting the best value:

  • Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. To get the best rental home for your budget, we recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property managers offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family.
  • Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies supply Beaufort, SC area travel guides which often include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Selecting the best vacation rental:

  • Start by selecting trip dates and a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Quiet location \/ happy beach vibes! Golf cart included ????????? has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available on booking websites. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
  • Visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

Tips for a great stay:

  • We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make sure damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, record any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the rental manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many concerns.
  • Be respectful. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
  • Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to compel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review.
