Tips and Tricks to get the perfect vacation home experience:
Find your best deal:
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- To find the most suitable rental home within budget, we strongly suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Beaufort, SC attractions.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property managers usually offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides contain discounts for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.
Planning, selecting, and booking yourrental:
- Select your vacation dates and max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Perfect In Historic Downtown Beaufort + 2 Bikes. Checkout our Reviews! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you reserve the home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what is optimal for your group.
- If your group is traveling with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly rental. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property owners charge additional pet fees.
- Visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
Some things to know before you go:
- Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your stay, record any problem areas upon your arrival. text the host immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a wonderful time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
