Tips to get the perfect Fripp Island vacation home experience:
When to book a Beaufort, SC rental & When to go:
- Booking your Beaufort, SC vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some owners offer promotional rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Booking websites typically offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides contain money saving offers on local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Narrow your rental Search:
- Select vacation week and spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. 8 Fairway Club - Golf Course & Pond Views - Owner 6 Passenger Cart Incl. has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you reserve your rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what configuration is optimal for your family.
- If there's a specific Beaufort, SC attraction you crave, search for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your stay:
- Add the property manager's contact information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, note any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the host right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your peace. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and scan for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to inspire more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
