Tricks and tips to get the optimal Beaufort, SC vacation rental experience:

Getting the most from your spending budget:

  • In the Beaufort, SC area, The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • To get the best value, consider changing your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Finding the perfect rental home in the Beaufort, SC area:

  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. 637 New Haven - New to VRBO! Resort Access Included! has 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is almost always available on booking websites. If not, reach out to the property owner before you reserve the property. • Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the owner about your furry family members before booking.
  • Is your group looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental

Tips to have a wonderful stay:

  • Get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few issues.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Upon arrival, record any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a terrific stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
