How to book the best vacation property experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- In the Beaufort, SC area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Beaufort, SC area. To get the largest rental within budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Booking websites typically offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Many management companies supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guides which include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

- Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- To make sure damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the host right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respect your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a great time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments.
