description: Take a trip on the Beaufort River to experience our vast salt marsh ecosystem, and the beautiful sights of Beaufort from the water. We’ll be looking for dolphins, birds, and other sea life along the way as well as sharing information about our winding waterways, marshes, colorful history, and more. You are going to be able to talk directly to your captain who loves sharing local knowledge and answering any questions you have. Our captains don’t have canned speeches and try their best to tailor each trip to their crew. Our two hour trips are meant to be fun and educational for all age ranges. Our two hour trips mirror our 90 minute trips but give is more time to cover more water and see more things.
what_is_included: Each trip is led by a professional, licensed/insured captain. Bottled water, and all required safety gear is also included. Passengers 12 and under are required to wear a life jacket (life jackets are provided).
itinerary: - Meet the captain five to ten minutes before the trip.
- Board the boat around the start time of the trip.
- Explore the Beaufort River.
- Return to the dock around the end time of the trip.
highlights: The Beaufort area is incredibly beautiful, but in our opinion it is most beautiful experienced from the water. The Beaufort River is especially suited for sight seeing as it winds right through the heart of Beaufort itself. Depending on the route traveled, sights you may see are the ruins of Fort Fredric, the historic location of Fort Marion, Down Town Beaufort, historic antebellum homes along the river to include the "Tidal Holm" built in 1854 and featured in the movies The Big Chill and The Great Santini.

The river consist entirely of saltwater and is inhabited by all sorts of sea life to include a healthy population of Tamanend's Bottlenose Dolphins. While our dolphins are wild animals that we can not guarantee seeing it is very rare that we are not able to find them.

Since 1554 when the first French explores came up the Beaufort River it has been thought of as one of the best natural harbors on the East Coast. This characteristic is especially good for creating a safe, and comfortable place to base our adventures out of. To date, we have never had someone get sea sick on a tour of the Beaufort River.
