Tips to get the perfect Beaufort rental experience:

Finding your perfect vacation home:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. To get the best value, change your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property managers frequently offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitor guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning, selecting, and booking the bestrental:

  • To start, have your group choose trip dates and a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Carriage House under Live Oaks In Historic Downtown Beaufort with Patio Garden has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available on booking websites. If not, reach out to the host before reserving the vacation property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation.
  • If there's an individual Beaufort, SC attraction you simply love, look for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or applied to your contract.

During your stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your . Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make certain that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, note any problem areas upon check in. Contact the property manager right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
  • Re-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a terrific stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
