Tricks and tips to get the perfect Beaufort, SC vacation rental experience:
Money saving strategies:
- Booking your Beaufort, SC vacation home in the Fall or Spring is a good way to save on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property managers frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides contain money saving offers on local tours, shops, and attractions.
Finding the best vacation rental:
- Start by having your group choose vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your family needs. 46 Davis Love - New to VRBO! Resort Access Included! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before reserving the property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what is best for your vacation family.
- Is your group looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
- If your family is traveling with pets, you must book a pet-friendly property. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
During your stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
- To make certain damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. text the rental manager right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of concerns.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are away, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a terrific stay? Many rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
