description: Pritchard's Island is a pristine undeveloped natural barrier island just south of Fripp. Its easily viewable from the South end of tarpon Blvd. from what many people refer to as sunset beach. Long time visitors to Fripp may remember the old USCB research station that use to stand on Pritchard's!

While many have viewed Pritchard's from Fripp, not many have had the chance to walk its beaches and enjoy its unspoiled nature firsthand.

This private excursion provides easy access to Pritchards and an experienced guide to help you navigate the island.

You'll be launched in canoes near the Cabana Club for a quick paddle across Skull Inlet (5-10min). Once on Pritchard's we will secure our canoes and leave them behind while we explore over 2 miles of beach! Depending on the length of time you want to spend on the island a picnic lunch can be added.

These tours are highly customizable, and the naturalist can cater activities/supplies to your interests. Examples include
- Birding (binoculars, scopes, ID guides)
- Shelling ( ID guides, carrying bags)
- Fishing (Rods, bait, cast net, catch and release only) *Additional cost $15/ rod and reel plus bait

A: This excursion is scheduled according to tides, weather, naturalist availability, and your schedule. There is no set time or day of the week.

Q: Can I go to Pritchards on my own?
A: Technically yes, Pritchards is owned by USCB and has never prevented people from going to the island. However, the island is really only accessible by canoe/kayak, and boat. The tides around Pritchards can be tricky and we highly recommend going with a guide.

Q: Can we go in the house still standing on Pritchards?
A: No, it is owned by USCB.

Q: Can we take shells that we find?
A: Yes, if the shells do not have a creature inhabiting them!
