Tips and Tricks to get the best Beaufort, SC rental home experience:

When to book a Beaufort, SC rental & When to go:

  • June, July, and August are high season in Fripp Island. To find the best value, consider changing your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Booking your rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property management companies usually offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guides which will include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Begin by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Pine Rest on Fripp Island - Close to Beach & Golf has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before you reserve the property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what is optimal for your vacation group.
  • If there's a specific Beaufort, SC beach you are enamored with, browse homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or costs may be applied to your agreement.

Tips for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • At Check-in, note any damages to the property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of problems.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a great source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
  • Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a wonderful time? Many rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
