Tricks and tips for getting the perfect vacation home experience:

When to reserve a Beaufort, SC rental home & When to go:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Book your Beaufort, SC rental home in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers frequently offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, SC area magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines contain deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.

How to pick the best vacation rental in Fripp Island:

  • Start by choosing vacation dates and a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group needs. FrippinFun - Three Bedroom House, Sleeps 8 has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the host before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is right for your vacation family.
  • If there's a particular Beaufort, SC attraction you long to visit, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you will need a property that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your visit:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make certain damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, note any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the rental manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out. Protect your property!
  • Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to stimulate future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
