description: Experience the heart of the Lowcountry from the water on our guided paddle through Downtown Beaufort that blends iconic landmarks, local flavor, and coastal beauty. Your journey begins along the scenic Beaufort waterfront, where you’ll paddle beneath the historic Woods Memorial Swing Bridge, an enduring symbol of the town’s charm and maritime heritage.
Paddle alongside the vibrant downtown marina and waterfront park, catching unique views of Beaufort’s charming streets, grand oaks, and historic homes from the water. From there, we head toward one of the area’s most beloved local spots — a popular sandbar hangout that comes alive at low tide. Stretch your legs, see what the area's notorious "pluff mud" feels like, or just soak up the sun where locals gather to unwind.
The return trip takes a peaceful turn as we wind through a meandering salt marsh, framed by spartina grass. Keep your eyes peeled for dolphins, egrets, herons, and other Lowcountry wildlife along the way.
Perfect for all experience levels, this tour offers a little bit of everything: nature, local culture, and the quiet magic of Beaufort from the water.
