Getting the best Beaufort, SC vacation rental experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Book your rental in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Many rental management companies supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guides which include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Begin by selecting trip dates and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Ocean Views! - 449 Tarpon Blvd - New to VRBO! Resort Access Included! has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is usually available on booking websites. If not, email the property management company before reserving the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Are you looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.

Advice for a wonderful stay:

  • Get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make sure no damages are linked to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas during arrival. Make contact with the host right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your peace. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental while you're out. Protect your property!
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a fantastic stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
