Tricks and tips to get the optimal Beaufort, SC rental experience:

Sticking to a spending budget:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is high season in the Beaufort, SC area. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC area magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides contain offers and deals for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Make a plan and pick the bestvacation home:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. 723 Marlin Drive - New to VRBO! Resort Access Included! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible online. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before reserving the property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or costs applied to your agreement.
  • If there's a particular Beaufort, SC attraction you long to visit, look for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
  • To make sure that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. message the host right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a terrific stay? Many rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
