Tricks and tips to get the perfect Beaufort, SC rental experience:

Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • To find the best value, consider shifting your vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warm weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
  • Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Many property management companies supply Beaufort, SC area travel guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Filter your search:

  • Begin by choosing your trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. 711 Blue Fish Road - New to VRBO! Resort Access Included! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC rental home search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or charges might be applied to your contract.
  • Is your family looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.

More tips for your visit:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
  • To make certain that no damages are attributed to your stay, note any problem areas during check in. Call the host immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a great time? Many rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
