Finding the best Beaufort, SC rental experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • The sooner your group can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Summertime is high season in Fripp Island. Booking your vacation rental in the Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides have deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Filter your search:

  • Start by selecting vacation dates and a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Beautiful Lake-Front Home on Fripp Island! Resort Access Included! Golf Cart Included! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible online. If not, call the property management company before you reserve your rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what bed configuration is best for your vacation family.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly rental. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • Does your group require specific amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.

Tips for your stay:

  • Get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many concerns.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
  • To make certain damages aren't linked to your family's stay, note any problem areas during check in. E-mail the rental manager immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a great time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
