Tips for getting the best vacation home experience:

When to visit Fripp Island & When to book:

  • The earlier you can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Summer months are high season in Fripp Island. Reserve your rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guides which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to pick the perfect rental in Fripp Island:

  • First and foremost, have your group commit to a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. 171 Beach Club Villa - First Floor Condo - Marsh & Canal Views has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is commonly available on booking pages. Otherwise, email the host before booking the rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you must reserve a rental that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental

More considerations for your visit:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of problems.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
  • To make sure damages aren't attributed to your visit, note any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the host immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to compel future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
