Tips and Tricks to get the optimal vacation rental experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Booking your vacation home in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Many rental management companies supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guides which will include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Choosing and booking a perfectrental:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Extremely close to Parris Island! 1015 15th St. has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before booking your home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If there's a certain Beaufort, SC destination you simply love, keep an eye out for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.

More considerations:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, note any problem areas during check in. E-mail the rental manager immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible resource to find the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
  • Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on great feedback to drive future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
