Tips and Tricks for getting the best Fripp Island rental experience:

Finding your perfect rental home:

  • In the Beaufort, SC area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Booking your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is an excellent way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers often offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines have deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Planning and choosing your prefectvacation home:

  • Select vacation week and max budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. 446 Tarpon Blvd - New to VRBO! Resort Access Included! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before booking the vacation home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is best for your trip.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental

More considerations:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
  • During arrival, document any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a great stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
