Finding the best Beaufort rental experience:

Get the best rental value:

  • To find the best value, consider changing your trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Many rental management companies supply Beaufort, SC area visitor guides which include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Finding the best vacation rental:

  • Start by having your family decide on trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Original Craftsman Cottage has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC rentals search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property management company before reserving your rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If there's a certain Beaufort, SC destination you are enamored with, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

Additional considerations:

  • Add the owner's contact information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • At Check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few issues.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a excellent vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
