Getting the best rental experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • The sooner you can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Booking your Beaufort, SC vacation rental in the Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer special rates for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, SC area magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines have coupons for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • Start by choosing your vacation dates and a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Fripp Island Elegance, Golf Cart incl., Quiet Tropical setting on the Water has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible online. Otherwise, reach out to the host before you book the property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what is optimal for your trip.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or charges applied to your contract.
  • If there's a particular Beaufort, SC attraction you are crazy about, search for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking

More considerations for your visit:

  • Put the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few concerns.
  • Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
  • To make certain that no damages are linked to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. Speak to the host right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be respectful. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected everything. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a great vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
