Tips for getting the perfect Fripp Island vacation rental experience:

When to reserve a Beaufort, SC rental & When to go:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in Fripp Island. To get the best value, try shifting your vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer great weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitor guides which will include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to select the perfect rental:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family needs. "Wildlife Wonder" Windows galore to watch the wildlife, sunsets & starry skies has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often available online. If they are not listed, email the property owner before reserving the property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what is right for your trip.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers charge additional pet fees.

Tips for a great stay:

  • Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make sure no damages are attributed to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the host right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a great source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a fantastic time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
