About The Island

Come once and experience all Fripp Island has to offer and you'll be coming back again & again. Fripp Island is a 3,000 acre, gated island which is known for its breathtaking beauty, generous wildlife (deer, alligators, birds, dolphin, turtles and more), and 3-1/2 miles of uncrowded beaches. It is a non-commercial, amazing get-away to relax, yet activities such as golf, tennis, fishing, boating, planned activities, etc. make it a fun place to be for the whole family.

Historic Beaufort, SC and Hunting Island State Park are a very short drive away. Summer is ideal, but Fripp is also marvelous all year round with many very pleasant fall, winter, and spring days for golf trips and family spring break vacations.

There are two championship golf courses - the George W. Cobb Ocean Point course is a true ocean/link style, and the Davis Appreciate III Ocean Creek course received a 4 1/2 star rating by Golf Digest. There are ten tennis courts, in addition to two pickle ball courts, along with professional instructors & clinics. While we are not beachfront, the island has 28+ public beach crossovers with cart and bicycle parking.

The island has 5 eateries & 7 pools. Appreciate the ocean breeze and view of the inlet at the newer Cabana Club Complex (one heated pool, huge kiddie pool complete with frog slide and one pool with caves and waterfalls). There are two great outdoor bars, ice cream, pizza, ship’s store and convenience market.

Camp Fripp hosts day camp and kids nighttime out programs for youths 3 to 12 (so parents can have some time alone). There are teen activities for 12 to 17 year olds as well as nature programs, social programs and more for the entire family.

This home comes with high-speed internet and cable TV, along with three new intelligent TV’s in the living room, primary and queen room.

Other amenities include: effortlessly accessible washer & dryer, garbage disposal, Keurig coffee maker (as well as a standard coffee maker), pots, pans & many other kitchen silverware and gadgets you would need. How to book the best vacation rental experience:

When to book a Beaufort, SC rental home & When to go:

  • June, July, and August are high season in Fripp Island. To find the largest rental for your budget, we recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, SC area magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides contain money saving offers on local tours and attractions.

Finding the perfect vacation rental:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and select a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Gettin' Frippsy - Four Bedroom House, Sleeps 10 has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible online. If not, call the property owner before reserving the rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds.
  • Does your family require particular amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
  • If your family is bringing pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly property. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property owners charge additional pet fees.

More tips for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your smartphone.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your stay, note any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the rental manager immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your quiet neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on great feedback to compel future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
