Tips and Tricks for getting the perfect Beaufort, SC rental home experience:

Get the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Beaufort, SC area. To book the largest rental home within your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines contain coupons for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Choosing the perfect rental:

  • Choose vacation week and spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. CUSTOM HOME 3 BED\/3.5 BATH ON OCEAN PT GOLF COURSE AMENITY CARDS AVAILABLE has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking websites. If not, email the property management company before booking the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .

Tips to have a fantastic stay:

  • Add the property manager's contact information to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
  • During arrival, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a excellent time? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
