Beaufort County Courthouse
Bay St.
Beaufort, SC

The Barnwell House was used as the County Courthouse until it was destroyed by fire. A new courthouse was built on the same site and was dedicated in 1883. It has been remodeled several times and is now used as a Federal District Courthouse.

The county courthouse and government offices are now located in a beautiful complex along US 21 and SC 802, on the north side of the Beaufort historic district.
