How to find the best rental home experience:

Getting the most from your rental budget:

  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Book your Beaufort, SC rental in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC area magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides contain discounts for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Make a plan and choose the bestrental home:

  • Start by selecting vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. 411 Capt John Fripp Villa - New to VRBO! Resort Access Included! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the property owner before booking the home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • Visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .

Advice for a wonderful stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • During check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a excellent time? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
